We had a fantastic morning at the Museum, exploring the dinosaur garden, having fun in the gallery and taking part in a drama workshop which finished with an opportunity to handle some real fossils. All the children were intrigued by the stories of the huge dinosaurs that had once roamed around our county and enjoyed trying to move like them as well as handling their fossilised claws and teeth!
Huge thanks to the wonderful Friends of Great Rollright who paid for our workshop and to Mrs. Joyce who accompanied us.
This trip was the first the Woodland have taken as part of our new extended curriculum planning; to see how the `Go Jurassic’ theme has moved up through the school, look at the pictures of the Ocean’s class trip to a local quarry.
