During term 6, The Ocean Class worked really hard to learn the songs and words to a short musical called ‘Superkids rock the planet’. After lots of singing and rehearsing, the class were ready to perform on Monday 19th July. They began with a dress rehearsal to the rest of the school and then performed their show twice for the parents to enjoy. It was a pity that we weren’t able to fill the hall to allow even more people to enjoy the show but at least the children did get to perform to a live audience this year and we still were able to maintain social distancing and keep us all as safe as possible.
The Ocean Class did a brilliant job and performed beautifully. They looked fantastic in their home-decorated t-shirts and the messages about recycling, re-using and reducing waste were important reminders for all of us about how we can do our bit to save the planet.
Thank you to Mrs Tomlinson, Mrs Bell and Mrs Young who worked really hard to help the children do their very best. It was a joy to watch them act and sing and smile again!
