On Monday 18th October, The Ocean Class hosted their own classroom exhibition of this term’s homework around the topic of ‘Rocks and Soils and the Stone Age’.
The children set out their homework and were then available to answer questions about what they had done and learnt over the term. The rest of the school were delighted to be invited to visit the exhibition and lots of excellent conversations were held as both older and younger children have been learning about complementary topics in the school’s umbrella topic of ‘Going Jurassic’.
We have recently reviewed the purpose and outcome of our homework tasks and are delighted that this first step to make learning fun, relevant and rewarding has been so successful.
