The Mountains Class go litter picking!

On Wednesday 22nd January 2020, The Mountains Class undertook a litter pick of Great Rollright village. Miss Bartlett organised the hire of special litter picking equipment and the class was split into three groups to cover as much of the village as possible.

It was a wet, foggy day but everyone was in great spirits. The groups collected lots of rubbish including old tyres, watering cans, bottles and lots of plastic waste.

After the litter pick, The Mountains Class made graphs to show the types of rubbish collected and plotted the areas where rubbish was found onto village maps. They decided to write to Great Rollright Parish Council to tell them what they had discovered and to ask whether they might be helped to purchase a set of litter pickers for school so that the good work could be continued into the future. Watch this space to see how they get on!
