On Monday 19th  July, the Meadow and Woodland classes went to spend the day at the beautiful Harcourt Arboretum. We were all very excited to be going on a trip, and for some of us it was the first time we’d travelled on a coach too. Everyone had dressed for rainy, wet weather but we were incredibly lucky and the sun shone all day, so we could have great fun exploring. We discovered giant Redwood trees that we measured with our arms and beautiful flower meadows that we investigated by counting all the plants we could find inside our hoops. Very friendly peacocks came to say hello and tried to finish our lunches when we weren’t looking and we pretended to be honey bees, trying to get nectar from flowers with our long, curly tongues!

It was wonderful to be out on an adventure together and all the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
