The Great Rollright Autumn Fair 2021

posted in: School News | 0

On Saturday, 11th September, Great Rollright village enjoyed a wonderful Autumn Fair at the village hall.

The event was organised by the school’s ‘Friends of Rollright’ committee who worked incredibly hard to put on an event for the whole community to enjoy after such a long time without any kind of social gathering.

It was a lovely sunny day which made it very easy for visitors to enjoy the craft stalls, sample the BBQ and enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake. There were lots of activities for the children to enjoy from bouncy castles to pony rides and a variety of classes and competitions for everyone to enter.

Outside of the village hall events, there was also a brilliant scarecrow trail to follow and many visitors took the time to walk around and admire the 19 entrants which decorated the benches, gardens and walls of Rollright!

Here are just some of the entries received for the various competitions held for both children and adults.

We are so very grateful to the dedicated team who put the fair together over the summer break and to all of the volunteers who helped to make the day such a success. Thank you to those of you who donated prizes and bought raffle tickets. This was a fantastic event for the village and a lovely way to welcome Autumn.
