The School Council came up with the wonderful idea of holding a school Bake-Off as a way to raise money for charity and give the children the chance to enjoy competing in a school cookery competition.
On Friday 19th November, we held a cookie sale and lots of children brought in cookies, which they had baked at home, to sell and help us to raise the money to buy four very special Unicef advent calendars for our classrooms.
Some of the children wanted to enter their cookies in Round One of the Bake-Off competition and these cookies were judged by the staff separately before being added to the sale.
There were an amazing amount of entries and it was almost impossible to judge!
In the end, four children were selected from The Ocean Class and four children were selected from The Mountains Class. These children will now compete in ‘Bake-Off – The Final’ – which is being held after school on the 9th December 2021.
Well done to everyone who entered the competition – your cookies were amazing.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time and trouble to bake and donate cookies for the sale. With your help, we raised the £100 we needed to support Unicef in sending vital resources across the world this Christmas. The children will now have the joy of finding out exactly how their contribution has been spent by opening their special class advent calendars every day throughout December.
