Last Friday, Joshua Siegal visited our school. He ran two assemblies with each Key Stage where he shared some of his (very funny!) poetry whilst getting the children involved in helping him perform. He also led workshops with Mountains, Ocean and Woodland. Mountains class wrote metaphorical poems about themselves using colours as inspiration. Ocean wrote poems about monsters. Woodland wrote similes about their own imaginary monsters. Some of the children also bought a signed copy of his latest poetry books! Thank you to the Friends for partly subsidising this wonderful experience.
