On Wednesday, 25th May the whole school came together to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The children spent the morning painting pebbles and making crowns and bunting before gathering on the playground for a whole school celebratory picnic of filled rolls, fruit and vegetables and special cake!

The Mountains Class performed a royal fanfare and played ‘God save the Queen’ on their brass instruments before an afternoon of Jubilee themed Yoga and some special coin challenges using the 1ps and 2ps which were collected leading up the day.

There was also a visit from Mr Bob Humphrey, Chairman of the Parish Council, who came to speak to the children and present them with gifts of special Jubilee mugs.

It was a most memorable and enjoyable day and one which was not spoilt by the typically English weather!
