We hope what follows will answer all your questions about how the admissions process works at our school, but please call us on 01608 737202 if you need more information.

 Making your choice

If you are looking for a school for your child, we would love to tell you about what we offer. Please call us on 01608 737202 to arrange a chat or plan a visit.

We also organise a number of pre-scheduled small-group tours in the autumn. Dates for tours in Autumn 2024 will appear here in September 2024.

Applying for a place

As a voluntary-aided church school, we set our own admissions policies, including who will get priority if there are more applications than places. (See next section.) However, the application process is handled centrally by the Oxfordshire Admissions Team.

This means all applications should be made through the county:

  • to join Reception in September
  • to join another year group in September
  • to join any year group mid-way through a school year.

The Oxfordshire Admissions Team can be contacted on 01865 815175 or via email at:  www.admissions.schools@oxfordshire.gov.uk

Applications can be made online at: https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/residents/schools/apply-school-place/online-applications

How we decide

If there are more applications than places, places will allocated in a fair and transparent way,  according to a written policy decided by our governing body 18 months in advance.

Although we are a Church of England school, we do not give priority in the application process to children of any specific faith.

For more details about what factors we will consider in allocating places, please check the policy that applies to the school year in which you wish your child to join the school (not the year in which you are applying):

 Admissions Policy for 2023/24

Admissions Policy for 2024/25

Admissions Policy for 2025/26

If you have any objections to our Admissions Policy for 2025/26, you should refer them to the Schools Adjudicator (www.schoolsadjudicator.gov.uk) no later than 15 May 2024.

Statistics about the allocation of places in Reception in recent years can be found here

Appealing a decision

If your child is not allocated a place, you have a right to appeal.

To start the process, please download and complete the school’s Appeal Form, and return it to the school by email or post (click here for the school’s contact details).

Appeals will be heard by an independent panel within 30 school days of our receiving your form. More details about the timeline for appeals relating to the 2024-25 school year can be found here

The Church of England’s Oxford Diocesan Board of Education will arrange the appeals panel. More information about the appeals process can be found on their website at:  https://www.odbe.org.uk/parents/appeals/
