Eco-School Silver Award

The Eco-committee are delighted to announce that due to the hard work of everyone in the school we have now achieved our Silver Eco-Award.

This award is presented when the school can demonstrate that sustainability work has been completed in three curriculum areas across the school.

All of the children have been working on aspects of sustainability and threats to the rainforests this term which has encompassed many of our Geography objectives as well as including Art work and Literacy. The Mountain Class also completed a litter pick which included map reading, material sorting, graph making and writing letters to the Parish Council.

As a result of the work completed by the Mountains, we have received a generous donation from the Parish Council towards buying our own set of litter pickers and gloves for which we are very grateful.
