The Eco-Committee presented this year’s action plan to the whole school in our celebration assembly.
The children spoke about our three main priorities for the year –
- Biodiversity – improving the habitats for local wildlife by providing small animal/creature homes and planting to encourage more insects, taking part in bird-watching opportunities and raising money for conservation causes
- School Grounds – developing our reflective garden, increasing our gardening opportunities and developing the gardening potential of the site by exploring the possibility of a greenhouse and green roof space
- Waste – re-energising our recycling collections, reducing waste generally and producing supportive information to send home
There is lots to do! If you have any ideas or can offer any support for our plans then please do get in touch!
