Easter homework

I have told the children that I’m not setting them any formal homework over Easter – they can even give Times Tables Rockstars and Read Theory a break! I’d rather they had a rest and were ready to start again refreshed in two weeks’ time.

The only thing I would ask is that you encourage them to continue reading for pleasure as much as possible and for the Year 6s, (if you have time) quizzing them on their Maths Knowledge Organisers (there is a copy on the school website on our class blog).

Even though nothing is compulsory, I know some of the Year 6s wanted to do some work, so I have photocopied some practice SATs papers and given them the option to take them home – there is no pressure to do any of them! Some of them didn’t take any, some took only one and some took all of them. Please feel free to support your children with these (if they chose to bring them home) as much as you like.

Happy Easter!
