Christingle 2022

As part of our traditional Christmas celebrations at Great Rollright, the whole school makes Christingles as a symbolic and fun way to celebrate the light of Christ.

This year the children in The Meadow and The Woodland had a special service in the school hall. The candles were lit and the lights were switched off. It was very special.

The older children in The Ocean and The Mountains rehearsed during the afternoon and then took their Christingles to church where a special service of carols was held in the evening. The children sang, said prayers and the Christingles were lit as part of the service. Nearly all of The Ocean class were in attendance and half of The Mountains.

Huge thanks must go to Mrs Collard and Mrs Bell who organised and rehearsed the entire event and to Mrs Bell for her musical talents on the night!  We were also delighted that Rev. Janet Faull was able to join us in our worship. A special mention must also go to our newly formed school choir who sang beautifully and bravely in front of the congregation. This was very much an evening to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
