After a good night’s rest, Ocean Class were ready to tackle the challenge of day three.
The morning was spent catching crayfish in the nearby stream and learning how to set traps.
After lunch, there were two final tribe challenges – to create a waterproof mini shelter for a marshmallow man and to decorate a headdress for the tribe leaders.
It was a long walk back to the coach after three very busy days. Our Bushcraft trip had been exhausting, educational and great fun.
We were very grateful to the wonderful staff at Cornbury who led the days with enthusiasm and patience.
The Ocean children were brilliant and threw themselves into every challenge. We were extremely proud of them . Thanks go to Mrs Tomlinson and Mrs Clements who accompanied the trip and gave their time beyond the school day to enable the residential trip to go ahead.
