On Monday, 6th March we held our annual ‘Book Wagon’ book sale in the school hall. It is always a wonderful event as our friends from the ‘Book Wagon’ carefully select and read all of the titles they bring and then offer special recommendations to the children. The sale continued after school and was visited by lots of parents. We hope that the event will provide lots of fresh titles for our library as we earn commission on all of the sales made – thank you very much if you were able to support this.
On the same day we also held our special ‘Book in a Jar’ competition where the whole school was invited to enter a jar decorated in the theme of their favourite book. We had an amazing amount of entries for the competition and the jars were super!
Winners were chosen from each class and presented with a small prize in assembly.
Thank you to everyone who made a jar and brought it to school – we all loved looking at the jars and linking them to the stories.
There are lots of photographs below which celebrate the day – it was brilliant!
