BeSpace – a reflective experience for the whole school

The final week of this term has been ‘’Worship Week’. This year has been particularly special as we invited BeSpace – a local charity – to set up a reflection area in our school library and all of the children were invited in to take part in a range of reflective Easter activities. We were very fortunate to have the support of Rev. Janet with this event and also some willing volunteers who live locally. It was an important time of peace and reflection in a very busy week. Children were invited to be thankful for their friends, ask for courage with new adventures and show forgiveness for past wrongs. We are very grateful to Kirsty from BeSpace who set up the space and ran the event for us – we hope to use some of her wonderful ideas in a future reflection area in school.

Other activities during the week including our annual re-visiting of the story of the good shepherd and the lost sheep, as well as prayer writing, rainbow making and singing joyful worship songs.
