Last week was ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ and we kicked off in style with ‘Odd Sock Day’. Lots of children wore odd socks to school to make the point that everyone is unique, special and different.
During the week, there was lots of discussion around bullying themes and, as always, the crucial message ‘Make some noise!’ was shared as a way to remind children to always speak up. The children watched a live Kindness Day assembly and reminded each other about the importance of kindness throughout the week.
Even Mabel received a kindness visit with some lovely pictures drawn by The Meadow. She enjoyed a stroke and a treat from the children! She also posed for a special picture to remind everyone to use our playground ‘Friendship bench’ if they are feeling sad or lonely.
