Last Friday when the weather was icy cold and the sky was bright blue, The Meadow and The Woodland went to our Forest School site for a special Christmas story and some popcorn around the campfire.
They were disturbed half way through by the sound of jingling bells and then who should appear but Santa himself – drawn by the smoke and the sounds of excited children!
Santa spent time talking to the children and giving each one a small present for Christmas Day. He also brought two special bat boxes for the Forest School which were very gratefully received.
It was a wonderful Christmas surprise for everyone and we are very grateful to Santa for stopping by during his busiest time of the year.
