Headteacher’s Welcome
Great Rollright Church of England Primary School is a thriving village school with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our aim is to ensure that every child develops academically and socially to their full potential in a safe, stimulating and caring environment.
We are a learning school and we seek ways of helping ourselves, and the children in our care, to deepen our understanding, and to improve our skills โ whether intellectual, social, physical, artistic, spiritual or creative.ย We see every child as an individual and we work with each one, and with you, their parents, to give extra support when needed or to challenge them further.
We believe that children work best in a positive atmosphere where they have the confidence and security to be able to make mistakes and to take risks in a safe environment – learning from their experiences as they go. We also take every opportunity to extend learning beyond our classrooms by getting out into nature, our local area and further beyond as often as we can.
Please do come and visit us and see our offer in action. We are very happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have.

Parent comments about our school
‘Great Rollright School has been the best start in education I could have wished for my children, stimulating and engaging them and helping them reach their potential. Kindness and respect are an integral part of school life, creating a nurturing atmosphere in which children are happy and ready to learn. I love the way the older children love and look after the little ones. My children are doing so well academically but they are thriving in other ways too, important ways which I believe will make them good citizens.’
‘Great Rollright is a school that really cares about each child and their needs, who are valued as unique individuals and therefore flourish. I have since had two more children start school at Great Rollright who absolutely love going to school every day and being part of their nurturing environment โ I couldnโt recommend it enough.โ
‘Extraordinary is the right word for Rollright. It is a tiny but absolutely extraordinary and incredibly special school. And it is a whole family school.’
‘Great Rollright is focused on your actual child rather than what they โshouldโ be, the children are so happy there and they offer the most amazing experiences and have a team of staff who genuinely care and are super experienced.โ
‘We could choose any school in or beyond the county, and we investigated all of them. I can say without hesitation that Rollright is the kindest, most inclusive, and most welcoming primary school of them all. I could not be more grateful that we had the opportunity to choose Great Rollright for our child.’
