On Wednesday 5th July, The Mountains Class set off on the first ever Rollright PGL experience to the Isle of Wight accompanied by Mrs Buckland, Mrs Clements and myself, Miss Hastings.
After a two hour coach journey to Southampton, the group boarded the ferry and the adventure really got started. Everyone enjoyed the experience of sailing across to the Isle of Wight and the time was spent playing games, looking out to sea or visiting the onboard shop!
There was only a brief onward coach trip before we reached our destination – PGL Little Canada. This centre is set on the banks of Wootton Creek and has log cabin style accommodation. The children were delighted to see their cabins and quickly set about making their home for the next three days.
Over the next three days we experienced a huge variety of exciting and challenging experiences. Many of the children conquered real fears as they were pushed to explore new activities. Below are some pictures of the activities which were tackled!

And of course some time playing and eating and shopping!
It was a really fantastic trip and every single member of The Mountains played their part in making it fun and happy for everyone. I would like to say a huge thank you on behalf of all of the children, to Mrs Clements and Mrs Buckland who left their families and their beds to accompany the trip and help the children to have the very best time.
