On Monday 1st June, the whole school gathered on the field to watch the official opening of the new ‘Rollright Castle’. This exciting piece of play equipment has been made possible by countless acts of fundraising in recent years and is a wonderful example of how the Rollright community pulls together to achieve amazing things.
Mr Anthony Peters, a local villager and supporter of our school, made a heartfelt speech and then the ribbon was cut by our Year 5 champion swimmer!
The castle was then open for business and has been a hive of activity ever since.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the committee members of ‘The Friends of Rollright’ – past and present – for their tireless fundraising and to everyone who has supported our events, bought our cakes and visited our fetes! We simply couldn’t have done this without you.
