Today, our Science learning has culminated in a team work challenge. We had to devise a sequence of instructions to use our knowledge of different process to separate a group of materials that had been mixed up. We called this ‘Alien Soup’ but it was really a mixture of: paper clips, corn kernels, sand, salt and rice. We had lots of fun working together, and deciding how we could best achieve this. We also managed to do this without making (much) mess. We demonstrated some great understanding of the process, and are now waiting to see if the evaporation process will leave the salt left.
