On a wet and windy November morning, the entire school walked through the village to the WWII memorial site at the village hall to take part in a short act of remembrance.
The children from the Mountains Class began the service with a brief history of the poppy symbol and some poetry readings and prayers. They were followed by Ocean Class who explained about the WWII Rollright plane crash which they had recently learnt about in History lessons.
Everyone fell silent to mark the occasion at 11.00 am and then the service finished with a special song of remembrance sung by the school choir.
Each class had made their own wreath to mark the occasion and these were delivered to the church to be shared with the wider community.
