On Sunday 6th July, The Mountains Class gathered at school ready to set off on an adventure to PGL on the Isle of Wight.
The next three days were a whirlwind of exciting activities and challenges including lazer tag, climbing and abseiling challenges, problem solving, buggy building and zipwiring! The children had to get up very early each morning and were still busy late into the evening.
The trip was extremely successful and many of the chidlren were able to complete new and exciting personal challenges as well as spend time enjoying the adventure with their friends. What stood out most for the adults was the care and kindness that the children showed to one another. There were many times when they worked together, supported one another in challenging moments and found compromises and solutions to the challenges they faced.

I am extremely grateful to Mrs Buckland, Mrs Keene and Mr Juggins who gave their own time to accompany the trip and who worked incredibly hard to ensure that everything ran smoothly, happily and healthily for the duration of our stay.
I would also like to a say a big thank you to everyone in Year 5 and 6 who behaved impeccably and provided some lovely company and fun at the end of a very busy year!
