This week we have enjoyed listening to the children in Key Stage 2 recite some poems which they have learnt off by heart. We were very impressed by the courage and talent the children showed when they chose to perform their poems to their classmates and then to their parents in a ‘Poetry showcase’ in the school hall.
Some of the children will now go on to represent us in the next round of the national ‘Poetry by heart’ competition which is very exciting.
Well done to everyone who worked so hard learning the poems and thank you to everyone who came to offer their support as a wonderful audience.
