Final assembly from the Pupil Collective Worship Team!

On the final Thursday of the school year, the Collective Worship team asked if they could present an assembly they had been working on to finish the year.

The eight Year 6 girls then read a speech which they had written, thanking all of the staff in the school.

The assembly finished with a surprise gift of four class cards which had been made by the children for Miss Hastings to show their appreciation for all her hard work. One of the cards had been cleverly produced to make Miss Hastings look like a ‘good shepherd’ which was extremely funny!

It was a truly wonderful surprise and a delightful way to end their role which has been an invaluable one throughout the year.

“Hello everyone today we have decided to do an assembly on all the teachers in this school.

We all know how much they all do for us so we thought we would take time to say thank you.

We are all leaving and we will miss you all a lot. You have all shaped who we are today.

First we are going to start with  Mrs Grundy, Mrs Salter and all of the Meadow TAs.

Thank you for starting all of our journeys to such an amazing school. We have learnt so much from you and you have always made us smile. Soon we will be starting at the youngest part of the school like we did with you.

Next, we would like to mention Mrs Richardson, Mrs White and all the other amazing TAs. You have made our journey and other people’s journey in the Woodland Class. We are very appreciative of it because you only started this year and have made everyone in Woodland have the best experience they could have.

Also, we want to say thank you to Mr Wallington and all of the incredible TAs.  That is the class that we all started taking responsibility for our learning some of the most important things we need to know. Year Six did not have Mr Wallington, but we saw how good of a teacher he is to the Oceans. We also bumped into him in the halls and he welcomed everyone.

And Mrs Buckland, for the people currently in year 6 you have been the best guide for getting us ready to move on to top school. We have had you for three years and it has been amazing .

Thank you so much for always being there. The maths lessons you took have always been extremely exciting and  you made maths one of the best lessons.

Also thank you to all of the Mountains TAs. You have continuously put a smile on our face and we will always remember all of the French or PHSRE lessons you took –  we are forever grateful. You have always been so fun and encouraged us to be more brave and have sorted all the arguments we have had out.

Thank you for listening. We meant every word  we said and we can’t say thank you enough.

We are so lucky to have grown up in this school and we will never forget the fun we had here.

So thank you for making all of our time at school the most special. It has been a place where we love to learn and learn to love.

We would also like to say thank you to Mrs Hastings who has helped this school and everyone in it.

She has led us all to being good shepherds

And taught us the most important values

She always has a smile on her face.

We are so grateful to have you

We will never forget you, you’re the best head teacher on earth.

WE have made this for you!”
