This year our Eco-Committee has decided to tackle three projects by dividing into teams.
The first team will tackle ‘Waste’ – looking for ways to recycle and re-use paper in school, starting new collections of hard-to-recycle objects such as batteries and printer cartridges and promoting the sale of second-and books and school uniform.
The second team are working on an ‘Energy’ theme. They plan to reduce our electricity and heating bill by switching off lights and closing doors and by participating in the ‘Cut your Carbon’ campaign.
The final team are working on ‘Water’. They plan to get a water butt installed at school, increase the use of re-usable water bottles in classrooms and fundraise for a global toilet twinning project.
