To finish off our Engineering week, the whole school got together and took part in a House Team Challenge. Children worked in small groups in their house teams to design a bridge. They had 6 pieces of A4 paper and 60cm of masking tape to make their bridges out off. The bridge needed to span a 40cm gap. Children worked together amazingly well and came up with lots and lots of different designs. They were able to test their designs regularly and make improvements in the time available before the bridges were tested. The winning bridge came from a group of Hawks children who made a bridge which held an impressive 1270g.
