On Tuesday, The Meadow and The Woodland celebrated the true meaning of Christmas with a wonderful Christingle service in the school hall. Some of the children were chosen to read out parts of the service and then the candles were lit and special Christmas songs from the nativity were sung. It was a really lovely service and the children very much enjoyed having the responsibility of holding a lit candle.
When the children returned to The Meadow for a story, who should they find waiting but Father Christmas himself! He brought presents for all of the children and also some extra class presents as the children had been so good! It was a very special ending to a very Christmassy day.
