During the month of October, each class celebrated Black History Month by learning about some famous Black artists including Alma Thomas and Lakwena Maciver.
After looking at lots of art work, the children created their own art inspired by what they had seen.
Some of the work was shared by the children during a special assembly. It was so lovely to see their interpretation of different styles and to hear about the Black artists who had inspired them.
We hope that The Branch in Chipping Norton will display some of our work in their cafe as the older children incorporated the values of The Branch into their designs. Some of our Year 6 children recently made a visit there to see the good work that they do and hand over a donation they had raised from a recent cookie sale.
