On Thursday, 2nd May, The Meadow and The Woodland visited St. Andrew’s church to learn about some of the important things that happen there.
The visit began with an organ playing demonstration which was a real treat for everyone. Rev. Janet then showed the children some of the special candles used in different services and explained their meaning. She read a story about Jesus calming a storm from the Bible. She also dressed the children in her special stoles (scarves) and explained the symbolism of their different colours.
It was a really interesting visit and the children learnt lots about the Christian faith and the building which we are so closely connected to in many different ways. We are very grateful to Rev. Janet and the wonderful organ player for giving their time to help us all learn.
