On Thursday, 9th July, the Year 5 and 6 children took to the stage to perform in their annual ‘end of year show’. This year it was Shakespeare’s, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.
The children and staff put this play together in a very short time due to all the other exciting opportunities which happen in the summer term. It was a masterful coming together of everyone giving their best and working together to create costumes, scenery and polished performances just in time for the big day!
The hot weather was a challenge but, not to be defeated, and with the help of lots of donated fans, the hall was packed for both performances and the children were absolutely fantastic!
A huge thank you goes to Mrs Buckland for masterminding the play and all of our wonderful TAs who supported the production and gave their own free time to make sure it all happened safely and brilliantly.
Year Five and Six – you were truly brilliant – well done!
