This term, Key Stage Two children were given an exciting opportunity to explore a special Celebration of Faiths project – a homework task which invited pupils to explore and share something meaningful about a faith of their own choosing. The aim was to celebrate the rich diversity of beliefs and traditions in our school community and beyond.
At the end of the term, there was a special presentation of all of their work in the school hall and parents were invited to come along and share in the wonder of the truly fantastic homework which was produced.
Through this project, the children in The Ocean and The Mountains were able to :
– Learn about different beliefs and traditions
– Develop respect and understanding for others
– Share something meaningful about their own identity or interests
– Build confidence by presenting their work
Some of the work is now on display in the school hall for everyone to enjoy.
